Rhythmic Relief is a series of paintings on paper and canvas. Using a mix of paints and mark making supplies gives me the freedom to pursue my interests in color and storytelling with my art. The narrative quality of my paintings comes from my daily activities and the people I’m around the most.

Canvas

I’m continuing to abstract human, plant, and animal forms. More than documenting of my actual life, this style I’m building for myself gives a curious and hidden feeling to my paintings. To put it best so far; the result is creating mirages from ordinary situations.

Paper

These landscape paintings are small-batch color studies using composition, contrast, and collage to make pictures full of movement and heavily textured detail.

I created these paintings with a loosely based triadic color scheme of red, purple, and green.

With painting and mark making I built up many layers of mixed media including acrylic paint, watercolor paint, oil stick, water-soluble crayon, and graphite.
